Physics Club

F=ma Review:    physics-syllabus    strategies

Centennial High School Physics Club

Description: Physics Club was established to promote physics knowledge within the school community. Our approach relies on mentoring students to influence change, developing their problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding of underlying physical principles.

As the foundation for modern technologies, physics plays a special role in our lives. Just think about each time we drive our car, store food in the refrigerator, flip a switch, or check our emails. There is huge potential in this area with consequential applications and societal impact. Beyond research, physics overlaps with many fields including occupations among architecture, engineering, broadcasting, computing, energy, medicine, military, space, and education.

Meetings are structured to provide members with homework help and exam preparation (class tests, AP, SAT, F=ma, USAPhO). Members may also be interested in pursuing research projects with faculty from nearby universities or learning about regional physics events open to the public. Recently, we started collaborating with Science National Honor Society to reach more students and offer mentors expanded opportunities for tutoring.

Location: Meetings are held on Mondays from 2:15pm-3:00pm in Room 901.
